Misa Sawairi, a Japanese native, is a multi-talented multi-disciplinary artist whose talents include installation art, floral arrangement, space design and window dressing.

Misa’s various works have been exhibited at such prestigious galleries and festivals as NCC Shizuoka, the 43rd Tokyo Road Show, Shibuya 355, Matsuya Exhibition Hall, Daimaru Museum, Jewelry Tower TASAKI Ginza, and Mami Flower Design Exhibitions.

Misa has also had success as a stage designer, creating imaginative stage designs for theatrical performances in Tokyo that include Unforgettable at Ikebukuro Theatre Green, The Life The Live at Yorozu Theatre, and Uzuki Monogatari at Ryogoku Black A.

Misa has created stunning window displays for leading companies in Tokyo and New York City including for Fujii Damaru; Il Bisonte; Spence-Chapin Thrift Shop (founded 1908); Dana Gift Shop; Floralies Inc.; and Sushi Ann Corp.

Her multi-disciplinary art works have been written about in leading Japanese trade magazines including Shizuoka Shimbum, Root M, Anemometori, and Flower Design Life.

Misa’s awards include the Ohana Art & Design Contest, for her book ski design, a piece of innovative children’s furniture; Judges Choice Award in both 2008 and 2007 at the NYCoo Gallery Open Art Contest which was organized by IBERICA Co., Ltd.; and the Florever Preserved Contest in 2007, 2008, and 2009 for her skillful floral arrangements.

Misa graduated from Mami Flower Design School in 2006 and graduated from Kyoto University of Art with a degree in Space Design in 2011.
