Takeyoshi Oba, a singer and composer, was born in Tokyo, Japan. Takeyoshi is known as “Gosha” in his role as lead musician with the wildly successful NYC- based Japanese Acoustic Punk Rock Band, Uzuhi. Established in 2004, Uzuhi has performed widely in the New York area and throughout the United States. “Uzuhi” means the Sun in Japanese, which relates to the band’s idea that their music is focused on bringing happiness and sunshine into people’s lives through creating music that transcends boundaries.
